Can anyone tell me some details about this racket(carbonpro 787) because this racket is at least 10 years old but only used a few times, it is very light compared to some rackets but not as light as the isometric 60 light. Thx
ps this racket is prokennex and its colour is moldy green. it also says SL 3 at the top of the racket grip.

I have two. It can be strung to 24lbs with BG65

It has a light head. Fairly stiff shaft. I haven't broken one in a racquet clash when using for about 7 years.

    It's carbongraphite. No boron material.

never own 1 before but strung 1 or 2 of them before.
    good utility racket, nothing fancy.
like cheung said, it's slightly lighter and stiffer than the old cab20.

What do i say. I know plp who swear by it! It was one of it own kind.I have used this racket extensively and this came in 2 editions. The older one was green and the newer one was Blue. It is a very very very sturdy racket and I personally believe that It is damn good for doubles!

It is one of the best rackets for doubles that i have played with! There are plp out here who will pay anything to get his racket and i am one of them! Dont sell it to anyone.

    Dear John,

Pro-Kennex Carbonpro 787 is a very good racket, in terms of its quality. Old Carbonpro 787 is much better than the new versions nowaday.

If your Carbonpro 787 is the green one, it will be the earliest protocol. Is it come with white grommets and white bottom cap with golden 'K' ? If yes, then it is the earliest protocol.

Its carbon material is very stiff, even stiffer than Yonex's product. Carbonpro 787's head frame is comparatively lighter.

I believe it is a very good singles racket. According to my memory, old Carbonpro 787 is heavier than the new version.

Damn. I gave two of them away a couple of months ago! One had a slight crack in it but the other one was perfect. Are you sure these are valuable?

I didn't know they so valuable!!

There is an even older version of 787 and that was grey in colour.

It would have cost around HKD350 from my vague memory.

It was a good racquet. I used to have five or six because at my budget(at that time), they were very affordable unlike Yonex. Also, they were not fragile unlike some of the Yonex models of that time (and now!)

The newer 787's are not so good and coincide with the decreased popularity of Prokennex as a manufacturer of racquets.

You can still get them at the digital mall in HK! I used to love the racket a lot. As to being precious i dunno. But then i would never gift itaway. I might even gift a Cab 21 but not a Prokennex 787!

Other rackets that i love from kennex was Victory and also Keron 1500! I would still say that It was probably the best racket that i have played with!

I agree with Yogi, get this racquet from your uncle and use it yourself, John! I have always been a doubles specialist and I have yet to play with a more versatile racquet.

I have not seen a 787 for a number of years but I used to play with a number of Kennex racquets and the 787 was easily the best at the time. I have not played with Kennex for years now so do not know if an equivalent is still in production.

The 787 itself was well balanced and fairly light. I put gut strings in it and it played very well but I was tempted away by the Boron 900 and for some reason never went back. The strings were at 22lbs and I am not convinced that going above that is wise for this racquet but will defer to others experience.

I think I gave the racquet away some years ago. Or broke it.

    String Carbonpro 787

I realize i have a Carbonpro 787 in my cupboard as well, i'm not sure what version it is, but its black and some grey and blue lines on the frame. I'm thinking to string it and use it but not sure what kind of string i should use. Any suggestion??
