    Default PBSI logo

I saw a Yonex racquet today that had a PBSI logo instead of a serial number. What does the PBSI logo mean?

PBSI stands for Indonesian Badminton Federation. Actaully it depends which Yonex rackets you are talking about. The current racket have both the serial and the logo while the old one doesn't have the serial.

    Hmm,
I'm a bit suspecious about that one because I haven't seen the MP100 myself but it should have a serial unless it's a knock-off.

SP version has the logo, CN/CP or TW version has none.

does the PBSI logo have anything to do with the strength of the racket?
is it an equivalent to a CN/CP?

PBSI logo has nothing to do with CP/CN and strength of the racket. Just means that it's reconized by the Indonesian Badminton Federation or something like that.

The PBSI logo on a Yonex racquet signifies that it is one of the "official" racquets used by the players in the Indonesian Badminton Federation.

The MP100 (for the SP ones) should have a PBSI logo and a serial number otherwise yeah, be wary of the racquet. Check the paint cosmetics, the butt cap and the various lettering on the racquet (especially the Ti mesh on the frame). All should be clear and clean.

From what I can understand SP stands for Southern Pacific. Usually the "SP" will shows after the model number (such as Mp-100 SP, ISometric-800 SP, etc.) Most of the time, you will see the PBSI logo at the grip.

As far as the serial number goes, you will see the typical serial number code followed by HK (Hongkong), TW (Taiwan), SG (Singapore), etc.. From what I can understand, these are just rackets meant to be sold/made in those following countries.

I heard from some people that racket with SP is not meant to be sold in the US, therefore, their warranty (1-year for most racket) will not apply here.
Now, as far as cheap knock-off... it's a whole new ball game... having a PBSI logo doesn't mean it's a fake one.

    Hope this help

If your Sp version of racket with PBSI logo without the serial number both in the shaft and cap.. it is a fake.
