TH/LD vs MD No. 1

If TH is paired with LD to play Fu/Cai or KKK/TBH or MK/HS....

What do you think...do you think TH/LD will win?

I guess it would be a good idea if they both play as MD in an exhibition match.....

Agreed, it would not even be close. Singles and Doubles are completely different games. Just because you are good at singles, doesn't mean you're going to be good at doubles and vice versa.

But, it would be fun to watch!

maybe TH/LD will make many many mistake coz they play in single mode when against double player..

this can be done in tennis. as 2 top single players can pair up and beat the top doubles.....

as in badminton, i dont think so....

Nah, never possible. Men's doubles game are real fast and the mentality of Doubles and singles is different. I guess you do not have to put TH/LD to play with the top doubles, i think an average doubles will win them.

but also, for long grueling match..taufikit and Lin Dan have big advantage as compare to doubles player. Their stamina is more higher since in singles, they need to cover the whole court wherein in doubles, they just need to balance and have good partnership inorder to cover the attack and shot of their opponent. I think one factor also, is their combination, if they are comfortable with each other, if LIN DAN and TAUFIKIT different playing style is a positive or negative factor when they partnered. But one thing for sure, since both of them are talented, given the proper training and guidance from a GOOD COACH. im sure when they practice together, and played for a tournament, they could create some or big upset to top player. I remembered Ye Zhaoying get a chance to played in Doubles before, and she even reach the finals and won 1 set against GE FEI and GU JUN in the finals. hehe..

just because a player competes primarily in singles, does not mean they dont' know how to play doubles.

paired top singles players will not beat top doubles players, but it doesn't mean mediocre or average doubles players will beat the paired top singles players either.

in the end, when it comes to training, your singles game helps your doubles game, and your doubles game helps your singles game...

and one last thing to note, when it comes to some nations, there are many failed singles players who end up playing doubles.

li lingwei and han aiping both plays sngles and great in doubles too...so it's not impossible...
they might win..but better paired LIN DAN and LEE CHONGWEI....due to better form than taufik now

Li LingWei and HanAi Ping was 25 years ago.

Perhpas the best known example of a current singles player having some success at doubles is Wong Choong Han. I have heard that he was a doubles player originally then converted to singles, then did some doubles for MAS SEA games.

Oh yeah, Peter Gade and Zhou Mi were junior doubles player, right?

I guess both of them will face language barrier. Don't know whether LD understands English or not. Yeah, it's so entertaining to watch maybe for charity event! From arch-rival to partnership,why not?

The MD will win, no contest.

TH/LD had their minds geared towards single tactics and strokes. Cai/Fu, KKK/TBH or MK/HS will annihilate them.

another example for now was mia audina and wangchen
both always play doubles in uber cup and mostly gave a victory point..
i remember wang chen paired with koon wai che at uber cup...it's not bad combination coz they still deliver point for the team

Taufik and Lindan definately cannot communicate with each other on court. They will either let that person retrive all the shots or they themself get it. I'm sure it will be funny to watch them play together. In terms of winning... i dont think so. But it will be entertaining.
