lady from the Philippines
hello there,
i'm new here as well as with this hobby... i'm michie, a filipino, a mother of four (not kids anymore)
... i've been hooked with badminton since May of this year and that's barely 5 mos. ago. My main purpose, at first, is just to make my health condition improve because at my age (38 y/o), I already have a hypertension and a weak heart
. But after I lose 40lbs. in just 5 mos., I could not possibly let a day pass by without playing badminton
... and now my family is playing with me and I'm a member of our village badminton club... And I feel much, much better now.

I still have so much to learn and this forum can help me... by the way.. I was once a volleyball player in my younger days
... but my operation made me gain so much weight (220 lbs.)
and made me weak

hi and mabuhay!
it's nice to read your inspirational story. indeed, getting fit is a matter of choice.
just don't forget to do the pregame and postgame exercises. when you practice (almost) everyday, give your body some rest as well. eventually, you may need to "crosstrain" so that other muscle groups will also be targeted. good luck!
