Errrr, I think the new TC700 color scheme is fugly !!! Orange and yellow doesn't seem to work on this racquet.

hmmmm...
i wonder how the third gen will play, i find 1st gen and 2nd gen are very different rackets, the 1st being less compromised then the the 2nd, i wonder if this trend will continue onto 3rd gen...
on a side note, does anyone find that it's really easy to break strings from off centre hits on the 2nd gen tc700? think it's something to do with the grommets. and also 2nd gen has larger sweetspot then 1st gen tc700?

Haha, "fugly" was also the first adjective that I thought of for the new TC700
Don't know what the designers were thinking when they decided to change the understated and classy color scheme of the previous TC700s into something so...sigh~
At least the TC500 still looks somewhat decent, even though it's still a bit over the top for me.
On the other hand, even though I don't own the racket, I've heard a lot of owners say that the grommets aren't very durable on the TCs, with the 1st gen being the worst. So hopefully, the 3rd iteration will make improvements upon that.
For me though, I don't know if I can look past the ugly color and get the 3rd generation- I was thinking of getting a TC700 some time in the future- especially if the 2nd gen will be on sale. Maybe I'll settle for the TC500 if I go for a 3rd generation TC.

The 3rd gen TC700 is ugly indeed..
And yes, the grommets on the 1st gen are very weak.

Lol, well, they are technically produced in China, after all.

However, I do concur. The old color scheme is much less glaring.

Well, I've also seen the rackets in catalog images elsewhere, but now another Chinese poster is saying that Mizuno has confirmed the leaked photos to be prototypes and not final products. The same poster also said that, according to Mizuno, the new versions will be oversized iso-frame and with 108 holes, and that there will be some sort exchange program (old racket for new racket) during its debut.

Here's the original post in Chinese- the 10th post of the thread- in case anyone wanted to see it for themselves:

Those wouldn't exactly be the best updates to the racket... I'm good with my 1st gen.
