SO, i was praticing badminton like any other day in school at lunch time. About 12:30, I performed a jump smash which was an awful one. Indeed, the power was in there. It was fast and a very good angle but as my arm continu it's swing down, the side of my Yonex Nanospeed 7000 ( old ) clashed with my knee and and generated a "cric" sound. I know the racket had said it's farewell to me. Upon landing, I checked the racket. One of the side was crooked. Although it's not completely broken but it's obvious there's an iner crack at 2o'clock and 7o'clock. I can still play. R.I.P. Nanospeed 7000...
Sorry to hear that you racket broke.. on the brighterside.. good thing ur knee bone didnt crack due to that clash. If not.. it will be worse.
Well at least you had the idea of getting a new backup (guess it won't be a backup now, ) racquet a few days ago in the Racquet Recommendation forum, so less time will be lost before you're back on court, and in a way, you prepared yourself for this mishap,
i cracked 2 rackets from smashing follow through on my knees. However, those 2 rackets are still very playable but my knee had a bruise mark for a week.
No, I'm living in Quebec - Brossard. I'll be probbaly using At900T as a backup since it's a too high level racket for me and Arc Saber 7 as the main. However, it all depends how much Arc Saber will cost when it comes out.
Well the Saber 7 is intended to be a mid-range racquet, so in the future I assume it will be in the price range of an NS-7000 to NS-8000. But upon immediate release, retailers will probably mark the price up well above MSRP, possibly to that of about NS-9000/AT-900, not only because it is a new racquet, but the first of a new series. The first Nanospeed out was the 7000, and at the time its price was very close to that of an AT-800.
