    Hi,

I am trying to string my MP 28 at 22x24 lbs using the 2-peice 4 knot method, as advised by Yonex. I am using a 6-point machine. I am starting to string the cross strings from the top of the racket going down. On tightening the cross strings from the top, the racket head from the top is getting slightly distorted.

Need suggestions on how to overcome the problem.

    Thanks much!

Start crosses from the bottom. That is the reccomended way to string Yonex rackets. I string for Yonex USA, that is how we do it.

It hasn't always been the recommended way though has it.
Did you get distorted racquets when the recommended method was to start the crosses from the top?

Have you calibrated the machines tension.
If it is pulling more tension than you think, that could be the problem.

Yes, I noticed only today on the forum that Yonex's recommended method has changed. It used to be top to bottom earlier and is now bottom to top. So will try bottom to top and update soon!

    Thanks for the advice!

As for the machine, I am assuming it is calibrated since it is not my own machine :)

Yonex changed stringing method last year. It use to be from top to bottom.

Have you used that machine before? The supports might noe be tight enough. That might be another possibility. Do not assume anything when it comes to calibration. How old is the MP28? Any clash from before?

No clash from before and the racket is in good shape but now that you mentioned...I remember that the same machine has deformed a few other rackets too...guess I must check on the machine!
