How do you know if a racquet is original? I bought a Carbonex 8000 Light racquet and it shows Made in Taiwan. Is there a better version Made in Japan? Also, is it true that all Yonex racquets come out in 1 color only? Example, no colors to choose if you will get a Carbonex 8000 Light, only the standard one. What is the true color of Carbonex 8000 Light? Please share some thoughts. I'm new to this stuff.
I hightly doubt there's a fake for lower end yonex. Also, the lower ended yonex models are made in TW or CHN. Most Yonex rackets only have 1 color to choose from.
Sorry, I don't have any knowledge regarding to this particular model. I am sure other members here can help you.
By any chance you have the date code of that Cab8000? I might be able to get a picture some where in archives. Sorry, just found it from stock photo. Here it is.
120673SP (Looks manufactured pretty recently) - The color of the head is a combination of Black and Red/Maroon which concerns me because I saw that picture you posted. From the shaft to the cone is a gradient from Black to Brown.
Can you post some picture of your Cab8000 light? There are model with different paint job for differnt year. For example, AT700 just changed the paint job. Also NS8000 is getting a new one next year. Cab20 has several color over the 20+ years. Sorry, false alarm. I just check with my Yonex catalog earlier. The new Cab8000 light is (from the top) black->red->black->red. It is on Yonex catalog. I got the picture from the archive. It is old color.
Thank you silentheart. I would appreciate if you could send a link for the catalogue. I guess I'm just color blind seeing the cone as brown instead of red.
Im just brought one Carbonex 8000 light. mine is brown metallic color while the old stock (2 or 3 years before according to shopkeeper) is maroon. Im just brought it for RM89.10. quite cheap.
There seems to be a lot of debate regarding this particular racquet colour. I'm posting pics of my Yonex Cab 8000 light. It was bought in 2009 and played with till date .
