Well, I hate to say it, I hate to admit it, but I broke my Armortec 500, a racquet which I really love, today with a clash with a VERY beginner partner (He was telling me a story in the middle of a match, wtf?)
I hit my partner's racquet then noticed a huge crack at 2 'o clock. Few minutes later I realize the upper part of my racquet head is slightly curved from the crack.

I just got this racquet a month ago, its serial code is canadian. Anybody know a way I can fix this? I don't wanna and I don't have the money to pay another 150$+ for it, I worked the whole summer mowing lawns to get it :(

My racquet is strung is BG-65 at a very low tension(don't remember exactly I'd say around 21-20)

    Thanks in advance.

    Will post some pictures later.

You should check if you have warranty from Yonex. I know they will sometimes just send you a new racket. If you don't I sorry, and I don't think there is a way to fix a broken racket. You could try hoping and praying.

i think your best bet is to try and get it replaced by Yonex. take it back to the store you bought it from, with the guarantee card(receipt) and see what they can do. they should be able to send it off for you and get you another.

if it's cracked like that, there's nt much you can do to restore them. there might be a way to glue it back into shape, but tension will suffer a lot and it won't be the same. there will be people in the forum who know how to do this, i don't.

i feel your pain. i broke my racquet, and although it wasn't very expensive, i'd grown to like it a lot. but like a vase, once it's broken, it can't be repaired to brand new.

Did you buy it with your credit card? Some credit card in the US has a purchase protection plan that you can file claim to replace the item for up to 90 days. I don't know if it's available in Canada, but may be worth it to check it out.

I doubt that if you broke it in a clash, Yonex will replace the racket for you. But seems like Yonex Canada is doing a good job.

If you read carefully about the warranty agreement and things like that, you would be very lucky to get it replaced if the damage is your own fault. I know sometimes people get away in some countries (most likely they pay premium for their rackets as well), but even with warranty in Hong Kong, you have to have solid proof that it is not your own fault.
