hey guys, my gf is looking for somethin new in the racket departement. We play mixed like once a week and she´s pretty good in net play and tactics but sux in clears and smashes. Thats okay cuz i play well and i like it to get to do some more footwork and hustling xD thing is i dont know which racket to get her. doesnt have to be a professional racket obviously but id like to get her a light racket, easy to handle and forgiving when it comes to technique. so, girls, what rackets do u prefer and fellas which racket would u recommend? any advice is appreciated!
duuuude! i know! we do practice and i put her through the mill but she needs a new racket anyway and it will be her birthday present. but u actually would recommend AT900? ill check some rackets out in the store today. (personally i play mp 88 and 99) edit: lol, ther really is a at900 "technique". what does the "technique" do?
Oh well, if you play doubles and are not doing competitive matches, get one which is light and nice, with colourful livery. You don't want to clash an MP99 with the AT900 when both rackets are yours in the doubles. I would say, NS7700? If you are willing to pay. Or NS6000, slightly cheaper but still looks nice?
what do you expect in return for your b-day? kidding a side, try ns7700 or ns8000. both pack a good punch and head light(not your gf). jsut want to bring it up. ns8000 is more head light and fragile. it need more experience and better technique. ns7700 is tougher and more forgiving, easier to use.
colekwok, maybe i´ll post pics of the after party ....naahhh!! so i think i found a winner. and ain´t that a beaut! Forza Lady Power Light http://www.fz-forza.com/Files/Bille... 0708 Ketchere store/ladypower_light_stor.jpg with all the butterfly print and what not the shop owner also recommended me something called Talbot Torro Arrowspeed 700. must be an older model. pretty light too. he didnt approve of the ns6000 though. btw: u guys think my girlfriend would consider it an insult if I gave her a pink Lady racquet? but who cares about the color or shape, as long as its a good racquet rite? if she doesnt like...id use it! xD
One suggestion is the SOTX SQ-108.. It has these beautiful pink flowers on it!! Girls at the club are going crazy ofr this Racket they just love the looks http://www.sotxsports.co.uk/Rackets/WC Exclusive Series/SQ-108.jpg /Twobeer
only real men wear pink, it matches my black shorts and pink polo shirt. Only people who are insecure are scared of pink.
hey kwun, what charactics/features/street price does the SQ-108 have? good for mixed? i could get one for 40Eur over here but i never had a SOTX racquet, so...dunno.
did some more research on Forza and seems they use to offer good quality? Not much info or reviews available of the specific Lady Power Series though. Must be too new or being a "girls racquet" no guy would ever touch it. some more close up pics of the different models http://www.activesportswear.dk/Default.aspx?ID=4857 not as sexy as the SOTX but i cant find a retailer that has the SQ-108 in store anyway (europe). jumping in at the deep end and get a Lady Power? uhm...
Get the Lipstick!! I got the perfect racket for you... http://www.astecbadminton.com/gpage4.html Yes... There's seriously a racket called the Lipstick... It's made by Astec. It doesn't get pinker than this... PS. If you haven't heard of Astec b4, check out the thread over in the Equipment forum...
Tracey Hallam uses this outrageously coloured Forza variant: http://www.centralsports.co.uk/shop.php?page=detail&product=5821 Ye gods, it's a good girly racket.
I say, you should get her a Yonex isometric series racket, light and durable and has good flex for girs, very forgiving rackets, big sweet spot, can generate power. Also they do not run very high in price. Another racket is gosen makes this racket for girls. its a pink one. and from looking at the specs it seems as a copy of the gosen 6900 boonsak model and i have that racket and it is a great racket. light and strong, it includes the kick point system so you can generate a lil more power to it. so yea the yonex isometric series or nanospeed series thats also a great one for girls, or the gosen
