NBG95 ..no control ?
I was just wondering about feedback from bcf members about the NBG95. I bought the woven 12 and d900 form vince_kan when i was down in singapore (thanks again vince)and both of them were strung with Yonex NBG95.
I am pretty sure its because of the different tension, string and racquets but still it feels like the string is too bouncy. I can feel this especially on the d900. It feels very different from other strings and the shuttles just flies all over the place... hrrmmmm ..... any similar experience from other users ?
I usually use the woven 8 and gosen 6900 both strung at 26 pounds. Got both of the racquets strung middle of last month and the strings broke on me last week....grrrr BG 65 as well... that is 4 sets in 3 months... badminton is getting expensive... still saving for my stringing machine...

i play well with the nbg95, though i still prefer bg80 or 85, i was tempted into trying it.
imo, slightly better than bg65.

I agree that NBG95 is really hard to control. Its very nice to lob etc but for some "delicate" shots like netting, its very hard to control the slice. The string is to bouncy. Any pros use NBG95 in the world circuit?

If you can, try to get NBG98

I wouldn't say 95 had no control, as such, but the feel is definitely numb - there's almost no communication between the string bed and the hand. I've yet to try 98; hopefully the situation will improve.

yeah numb would be the word. lack of feel yet lots of bounce. hahaha
being where i am, cost of stringing and i dont string my own racquets, i will not step near a 0.66 string. don't care what technology they use but i think durability is the way to go for me now.
thanks for the replies.
p/s i still can't find anybody who strings as good as racquetshop in HK. i bought my woven 8 from them and got them to string it with bg80. it lasted me a long time and the tension was fantastic . still on a mission.

I don't think you need to worry about the durability of NBG 98, you can ask other people in this forum, most of them will tell you it is excellent in durability for a 0.66mm string. They last a long time!

even BG66 last longer than the 68ti,no doubt for the NBG98 then..
