Weeks before one of my friend bought a tube of RSL Classic Tourney for our game. The shuttles are really durable, and the feel of hitting is also nice. So I went to buy another tube (actually from other shop) for our game today. Unfortunately, although still durable, but not as good as previous tube. Also, the shuttles gave me a very strange feeling, seems that they were not stable enough. When I looked at the two tubes, I found that the caps are different. Also, the green color of the wrapping paper is slightly sharper than the other one. So is that one of the tubes is fake? Or just because it comes from older batch, or from other batch which supposed to be distributed to other areas?

dont worry, the right is the old package and the left is the new but actually there are counterfeit rsl shuttles , one of the best way to avoid getting them is to buy from a reputated store. Bytheway, i brought 5 tubes of fake rsl no.1 from the Internet in the last few months.They are not really cheap but dont worth it!
Hardly to tell the Shuttlecocks fake or real until you open the tube and look atthe shuttles. DevilG , they are both RSL but just different package. before 2006 and after. vbmenu_register("postmenu_690651", true);
fake or not? hi not fake. its an old edition the package has been change i reckon the one i bought from ebay is new package
RSL shuttlecocks are upgrading they packet every year, the plastic warp in the outer part of the tube is different than others, it should have "RSL" text printed all over the cover rather than transprancy.
i forget if the text of genuine ones can be peeled off, but i am sure that there a few tiny holes on the plastic warp
yes there is a few holes. Thatz for easier to peeled the plastic warp off. Text won't be able to peeled they printed and sealed intothe warp . The lastest one had a series number on every tube similar to rackets.
how about RSL rackets? how do we know the ones we got are not fake?i just got an RSL 3200...but i dont know how to verify or examine if it's genuine or not.does anyone know?
I am just guessing here. Please add your idea if my post is wrong. Many time, a shop buy a shipment of shuttle (more than 100 tubes) because thay are on special from supplier. They can not sell them all within a short period of time (within a season). The shuttle become brittle and some time it become unstable after 1 feather got chipped. Also, feather shuttles are hand made, there are usually batch difference. So if you can, go to a big shop to get shuttle to guaranty the freshness of shuttles. Yes, it happened to me before that a batch shuttle (I will not name brand and it is not YY) was in my storage over 5 month of the time and some player got it and complain they are brittle and not as durable. A couple of shuttles even wabble right out of the tube.
just try it today. like the feeling.. but sometimes the shuttlecock movement was quite fast.. to me is nicer than tourney 1
