I just bought this one from my friend; it was around 200rm. For the price, the racket is good. Does anyone have used this racket? Is ASTEC good brand?
For me it is a good brand! in fact all of my rackets are astec, this model is one of their high end models and I should say i'm pretty much impressed by the color, their brochure does not give justice to the color. I believe this weighs around 81 to 83gms., made of synthium carbon with inside wave, tapered shaft, recommended tension of 28lbs.. can I ask how much 200rm is converted to US dollars?
It's 200/3.45= US$57.97101449275362318840579710144. something like that. They sold this racket for 389rm but I got special price.^^
what are the specs for this racquet if you dont mind me asking? like flex, and max tension is what im more interested in also if its head heavy or head light that kinda stuff. Thanks if you can answer that.
Max tension for Astec rackets are typically ~28lbs so you can probably expect the same for this racket if not more. I'm pretty sure MCF on the shaft means "Medium Comfort Flex" which is about a Medium Stiff. Lastly, assuming the balance point of 290mm is strung, it sounds like this is an Even balanced racket... leaning a bit towards head-heavy at best.
thanks for the information, hum doesnt sound like a bad racquet but i guess not really something i would use based on the specs.
You check out the Astec thread yet... They're really starting to develop a good rep Hmm... so it's a flexier ver of the Storm... shoulda guessed... PS. Where did you find that pic from? Kinda off topic but if you scanned that yourself, mind also scanning any other new rackets you see in there? Particularly interested in the Excalibur
hum good point maby i will check it out, if i can find an head heavy extra stiff or maby stiff at the least might be something to look into for me then.
That catalog was originally uploaded by user, nick name ASTEC, he is working for ASTEC. You can find Catalog related to Astec thread^^
