I am a bit confused with the new point calculation in the badminton players ranking.
For example, Women's single ranking :-

    18th Oct 07
    1. Xie Xing Fang =70922.57
    2. Zhang Ning = 67939.31
    3. Zhu Lin = 61830.1

    25th Oct 07

    1. Xie Xing Fang =70922.47
    2. Zhu Lin = 59100
    3. Zhang Ning = 58939.11

Just wondering, how come ZhangNing and ZhuLin points being reduced?

    Any idea?

I believe that the calculated points for World Ranking are awarded for the 10 best results in the past 52 weeks. This is updated every week (every Thursday?). If a player loses points from one week to the next, it undoubtedly happens because one of that player's top results was 53 weeks ago and is no longer used to calculate their current (52-week) ranking.
