(converted back to units we understand)
    around 5' 5" / 121 lbs

Have you thought about any of the Yonex rackets? What exactly is your price range?

I'm thinking Yonex MP88 or lower model.

If you have access to any SOTX shops, try SOTX Woven 8/8A, very good all around racket. ;)

..i thought Yonex stopped production of mp 88? Is this a new version of the mp 88 and is it as good as the original version?

Yonex has stopped production of the MP88 but that doesn't mean you can't find it in shops. Have you tried looking at MP29LT, MP66 or MP88?

There is supposedly a new MP88 version around (in 2U and 3U) in the HK and elsewhere. On the other hand, the MP80 is still availabe in Japan.
