Hello everyone, I picked up badminton in late '05 when some mates at work ridiculed me for being so bad at it. Started reading BC.com & tried as best I could to put it to practice. Wanted to shut my critics up (ego). Thankfully, I had less 'un-learning' to do due to my choice of readings Then, I sustained a bad injury (non-related to badminton) & was having problems coping (physically) with the pain & (psychologically) with the condition. One day, I just felt that I ought to get up & start playing & inexplicably discovered the beauty of the game. Especially about grace, humility, integrity & sportsmanship. I'd ALWAYS played sports, but never took the trouble to learn these values. Now, I'm addicted... I'm addicted to badminton mainly because it liberates me & makes me feel normal (have fractures in my spine, dessicated L5S1 with Annular Tear, etc...). Well, that's it from me for now. Thanks for reading...
Sorry to hear but welcome anyways.. ..sorry to hear abt your injury, punchclear...But glad to know you are embracing the sport..Welcome, again, aboard BC and make yourself at home!
