    I just saw the yonex string chart n the NBG 98 just stand 1 point more for its durability than the BG66,n the rest r all the same,in terms of repulsion,control,feeling,shock absorption.What do u guys think?Have anyone of u tried both of them?N what do u think?

    I got one racket that is strung with the BG66,n i tried to play with a NBG98,n i felt that the repulsion is much better than the BG66.I think the durability is better as well.But i'm not sure now,since i only tried to play with NBG98 once.

    Any comment on this?

    I still prefer bg-66, from the price is far away cheaper than nbg-98.
    I have nbg-98, but not try it yet, the price is triple than bg-66.
    But maybe the most attention for bg-66 is it's loss its properties damn fast, even not break yet.
    For smash still prefer bg-65ti or bg-80, for accuracy and repulsion i go to bg-66.

    That depends on where you got the string from. The Nanogy98 should not be that much more expensive.

    i think it s all about how you feel it. The nbg 98 is just the newest, if you like it more than than bg 66, then take it. After, for the price, you are right, the nbg 68 is more expensive.

    Sure, but in MBStore, you can find the bg 66 cheaper I think, than in shuttle house.

    In most of places,NBG98 is much more expensive than the BG66..because the NBG98 is only available in JP,while BG66 is already worldwide.Ppl have to import the NBG98 from japan if they want it.

    I tried both of them,n i find them r both different..even though they're both 0.66mm.I felt that the NBG98 got more repulsion,less effort to do a full court clear,great sound,good feeling,good smash.I dont know,since i tried it on a AT900-T(JP) while i got my BG66 strung on a kason carbon 3.0.Maybe that differs.But however,i felt that they r quite different.

    NBG98=0.66mm
    BG66=0.66mm...
    Which one is better?

    Smichz,

    Import does not count because it ends up being marked up from the seller. The real price of it is if the shopper (such as I for instance) shops directly at the source and obtain the string - now that's cheap.

    To me NBG98 is superior on a newly restrung racket, but it looses repulsion and dies quicker, so it gets worse after just a few sessions than BG66S imop.

    Where can I get info from Yonex about the NBG98? Seems that yonex.com only lists NBG95.

    No matter how cheap it is,the most expensive string in my place is NBG95,costs around 40rmb (6 USD).I saw an info that NBG95JP n NBG98JP is one price.So,is it as cheap as 6USD?I can buy one from the bbe.com,but still it costs around 90rmb(13USD).How much did u buy ur NBG98 from japan then?

    As I mentioned other places are selling at mark up prices because it had to be imported.

    Yes that's right. Same price, more like 8 USD based on today's exchange.

    Around $120 USD for 200M reel. Divide that up by assuming 20 or more string jobs then it speaks for itself.

    The price actually includes the shipping fee.

    Could be cheaper going to Japan but remember, there is 5% tax added on top, the difference would not be significant if you compare with going online.

    I guess it's not BG66 sharp,since in South east asia,there's only BG66 in the market.Dunno whether it is the same as the sharp or not.
    Taufik hidayat uses this string as well..

    FYI..

    BG66 Sharp is a stiffer/harder string supposedly compared with BG66.
