I have used the LF/SW's six-point internal support system for two years and the six-point suspension system for one year. Here is my conclusion. For uber high tension like 32 lbs or more, six-point internal supports is a lot better than the other.

The frame move a lot more under the six-point suspension system, but mounting a racquet is so easy and fast.

The frame doesn't move at all or very little under the six-point internal suspension system, but mounting a racquet is a bitch.

Here is a gadget for keeping the cross from deforming as much during tensioning the cross. It is used for machines without external frame supports.

    hey Pete, this is interesting.
Are there any machines out there w internal support other than the somewhat overpriced Laserfibre?

The stress-relief bar is used mainly by some stringers in Hong Kong, who have only 2-point machines, to string at high tension. The best ones are from Japan. Stress bars, awls and a thick round wooden grip/handle for pulling and tensioning were mandatory in the old days when stringing was done by hand. It doesn't get in your way.

u misread my post. I was referring to the off center bar, 1/2 on top, 1/2 on bottom. There are + and - but personally i see more minus than plus.

It is designed that way and it doesn't get in the way of the middle cross because you can weave the middle cross away from the bar and then straighten it. I think it costs about HK$300.

After having stringing serveral rackets on a Suspension Mount system I must recognize that this system has a big lack on the supporting points at 12' and 6' clock. Due to the plastic piece which push against the frame while stringing, the frame is often lies under heavy stress. The results can be observed in fragmentation of the frame at this fixed point after having stringing the racket on this system for many times.
The fragmentation can be avoid by substituting the plastic peace with a rubber damper.

thanks Stein_r.. is that something that can be done easily (replacing the plastic piece) or should i just go with the hold-down mount.. i'm starting to believe the Eagnas GE II for $189 is a good deal.. they will exchange all the tennis clamps and awl to badminton clamps and awl at no charge.
