I'm going to be starting up a badminton group and am currently choosing a gym. We need three doubles courts, and need to know the minimum amount to walls on sides of two courts, backs of all three, and between courts.
    Thanks!

As cooler said, it depends on the amount of people.

Are you making this a membership with only enough people for the 3 courts. If so, or something like that, you don't need much extra space, just a foot or 2 so people don't crash into walls...

If you have open, then you need a lot more room since people will be seated on the sidelines.

My primary concern is safety and allowing players enough space that they don't risk injury from running into walls. Players waiting to go on will wait in will wait in an alcove.

In tennis the accepted length from the baseline to the fence is standard. Obviously tennis stand behind the baseline and sometimes are forced to run down a ball almost to the backfence.

    Please help.

    Thanks
