Re: Badminton shop in Singapore
Changed my mind at last minute. I intended to get another ti10 as a spare, but couldn't resist the temptation of trying out the MP100. I managed to find MP100 at the 4th shop I visited. I guess S$170 isn't the best price. Not very surprising since I am a non-local buyer.
Have strung my new MP100 with BG66 at 22-24 lbs. I felt that mp100 is considerably less head-heavy than ti10. Of course, need time to have a real taste.
Cheers!

I see!
I'm curious, which shop did you purchase your racket from?
And which shop did you got your racket strung at?

Re: Badminton shop in Singapore
It was one of the shops on the 3rd floor (Ranking Sports?) at the Bras Basah Complex. I bought them without string and strung them myself after I got back. I noticed the shop at the ground floor, stringing there was done by amatures, looked way off my league. Thanks for the tip of not stringing there.
I was not impressed by all four shops (3 in the complex) I visited on their technique of stringing, frankly. Your guys in Singapore need to be more selective about where to get your rackets strung and by whom. Otherwise, all the benefits of having top range rackets will be diminished.
Another thing, don't forget to get some cash handy if you want to buy things there, credit card is no good.

Re: Badminton shop in Singapore
Lao Liu,
actually, I don't know whats your definition of good stringing technique or are you referring to good stringing equipment?
For that matter, actually the 2 shops on the ground floor have better stringing techinique than the other 2 on the 3rd floor.
My guess is that
" I was not impressed by all four shops (3 in the complex) I visited on their technique of stringing, frankly. "
meant minimalist equipment ? Or do you mean you actually spent the time to watch them do stringing?
Please do not equate quality of stringing with quantity of equipment used. I have visted shops which have expensive computer controlled stringing machines and their strings sucked big time after I strung them ... and it lasted only half as long as my regular one which uses the 'normal' hand pull machines.
Am I correct on my guess ?
