    Default Do you trust ebay?

I know there is an ebay watching thread, but this is different, I hope.

Would you consider buying off Ebay for the cheap prices? Or are you like me and always waay too suspicious to even think about the offers ebay has?

I have bought 3 to 4 rackets off ebay and all of them were genuine products. There is nothing with ebay...so as long as you do your homework and don't get attracted to the low price items!

Ebay I do trust. The problem I have is with the sellers.

The key point about Ebay is that it is made up of many individual sellers. The spectrum of the market for products, prices, and (to a degree) human nature can be seen. Some sellers are great, some sellers I don't touch with a bargepole.

Do your research and ask the questions BEFORE your buy. If you plan on buying upper-end, genuine Yonex, you have to be extra cautious.

Yeah, I know Ebay is not the problem, it's the scammers that are trying to rip people off.
But even the Top Rated sellers with 100%ish feedback are still selling the racquet for a standard shop price. So why do people not play it safe and buy from authorised shops?

There are plenty of 100% sellers that sell fakes as well and are only on 100% because of buyer ignorance (and/or extremely low prices so even if they find out it's a fake the low price doesn't make it feel a complete rip off).
As others have said do your homework beforehand

    *shouldn't this be in chit-chat?*
