Hi im new at this site, therefore i hope i post this thread the right place.

I need a great racket, for offensive playing, but defensive as well.
I'm a beginner in badmintion, and has only played it one year, two years ago.

    1. How often do you play, how serious are you?
In the beggining i start playing twice a week, and then more and more often, as i become better and better.

    2. What style of player are you? (Aggressive smasher, net player ...)
Well, i do play offensive, and therefore i need a offensive racket, but one who also can improve my defence.

    3. Do you care much about durability or is it all about performance?
    45/55 :p

    4. How much money do you want to spend?

    Not more than 120-130 $

I do prefer Yonex, Prince and Forza, but i'm open for other brands as well.

    :)

yes, it is smaller than say a mp series. But when you get the sweet spot, it addictive and can cause diabetes :p:)

i did not have to adjust much switching from mp21 to cab30ms.
i hit the center 80% of the time for cab30ms and it is pretty satisfying.
That is after more than 15 years of break from badminton.
I have been playing for 2 months for 2 hours a week.

Yes, like he said, if you nail the sweetspot, it feels awesome. And since you're a beginner, it'll help force you to improve your accuracy to hit that sweetspot. And then when you use an ISO racket with a larger sweetspot, you'll feel the difference.

Another one I'd probably recommend is SOTX Woven 8 and Woven 7. It depends if you fancy an even balance or more head heavy racket, but they're both very stable and good rackets. I believe their price range is lower than $130.

Armortec 500. You won't be disappointed in it. Has strong offensive capabilities and decent defense. The rest is up to the player himself.

    It's no problem.

Well I've played with an armortec 500 (the old version) . I found it good also but I just felt there was something missing when I was playing with it.
I can't put my finger on it though.
The armortec 300 is cheaper so if you are wanting to save money , go with that.
I forgot to say. Armortecs are generally very tough , when you clash with someone , it doesn't break , well MOST of the time

Yeah well the armortec 500 is slightly more powerful than the 300.
Remember though , it is what suits you , It's got to do with technique also .
