I am an Advanced player from the UK and will be coming to Deakin Burwood in Feb next year for 5-6 months on study abroad/exchange. I will be looking to play and wondered what the standard is like at the club, - the gradings dont mean much to me lol. I guess I may be an "A" player but i dont know because I havnt seen what the standard is like in Aus.

4 courts are confirmed for this coming weekend from 12:45-2:45 in Deakin Burwood campus.
Btw, I would like to introduce a new membership system for year 2010 which starts form this week. The annual fee will be $20/member/year, and the playing fee will stay the same as $6 for the member and it’ll be $7.5 for a causal player.
Please note that our structure is different from any registered club. We are not for profit and the fee is used for court hiring and shuttlecocks cost. Also, I am thinking to organise some BBQ when it comes to the exam period, and this will be partly subsidized by the club.
Anyone who is interested in joining and become a member please reply this E-mail for registration. I will collect the fee from you when I see you at the badminton court.
I hope you enjoy playing with our little group over the year. I am trying my best to make everyone welcome and playing a fair share of games but occasionally I do fail due to some uncontrollable situations, and as you can see I am so keen in playing myself. ^^
Again, thanks for your support. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
