    Default Chen Hong WO

Sad to not enjoy the game CH versus Bao...

Guess CH felt it was better to WO than to play a match he was not allowed to try to win

I am sad, it would have been a great battle

This is due to the very unique system of China badminton team. Individual player must scarifice their chances for the good of China team even if it is individual events. And who exactly will have a better chance against the opponent is entirely the discretion of the coaches.

In the case of Chen Hong WO, Bao will have the advantage of being fresh. The disadvantage, however, is he will have additional pressure to win the match for the "Team" and Chen Hong. This is because when Bao wins, Chen Hong will share 50% of Bao's price money.

China team can say whatever they want, for example, in the name of securing the win for the team. But the fact remains unchange, this is lousy sportmanship!!

But do International rules accept this kind of situation?
Is possible that a coach say: "Today you have to retire?"
    Where is the sportmanship?

Can't WBF take some strong decision against this behaviour?

P.S Can you tell me, why Chen Hong is out of national team? What did it happen, in the past? And if he is out, why can't he play freely and win against natiolal team players?

since BWF wont do anything bout it, all others should train harder n eliminate chn players b4 they meet each other n fix a match.

eg. PSH prevented another fixed match between LD vs BCL cos he got rid of LD in the early round.

To be fair maybe other countries players should play as a team against the chinese players, so Sony would leave WO against LCW and Kenneth would let Park rest and so on

But it would not be very fun for us lovers of watching the game, would it?

no no no. All of you are misunderstanding the situation.

    Chen Hong injured himself!

But you see, he will be able to play in HK open. Why? because all the chinese players have super fast recovery rates. They practise an ancient art of kung fu that enables them to heal themselves. What they do is they consult their witch doctors, and then the witch doctors will meditate for 24 hours straight. After that, they will go up to the mountains to collect herbs to heal themselves. And then they are healed. See, thats how they can heal an injury that would otherwise take several months to heal in 2 days!

at the moment, China vs the rest of the world seems pretty balanced, with China still having the slight edge. If you look at SS results so far, China wins on average 3, others 2.
    In tomorrow's semi finals, there are 11 Chinese and 9 non-Chinese players/pairs.

    Default Dear members

    Dear members,

If it is true match fixing, it should not be tolerate as it will set other countries to follow suit the same actions. At the end, badminton will be a match fixing sport like football. Next time, the players can sell game to other players or other countries as they knew that no action is taken against them. It is bad for badminton as it is most popular sport in the region and hope that the name won't be tarnish just because of this bad incident of walkover without any valid reason.
