Hi Could anyone help me !!! Do you know what is the recommended stringing pattern for a IW5000 - 1 or 2 piece stringing? cheers ali
Ali, A mate of mine has just bought two IW4000's and I suspect he wants me to string them soon. I had a look at the pattern and it's almost identical to the standard Yonex iso except there are three shared grommets followed by a single followed by a share at the throat. If/when I get hold of the 4k's I'll let you know more precisely. M.
I've just done two IW4000's - here are my findings: 1 piece 22 main x 23 cross Mains to T12, skip T11 Crosses from T8 to H7 Tie-offs at T7 and H6 It's a lovely racket to string, with nice wide shared grommets.
A tip for one-piece jobs: start the mains from one side and move across, leaving your two standard loops for the tensioner. This way, you don't need to work out how much string is on the short side (as you would if you started the mains from the middle, as is usual). There's no need to leave excess for a knot: the loop will propagate all the way through and be remaining at the end. Also, I think that if you mount the racket with the V on the butt cap the right way up, the mains start on the left hand side. If in doubt, look at the grommets - they have a groove on one side to show where the string lies. M.
Does anyone have the string pattern for this? Its seems that the Gosen Aermet 8900 uses this pattern. I want to show my stringer the pattern.
hey, i just brought a strining machine and i play the victor inside wave 5000 as well. but i really don't know how to start etc. does some have a victor pattern oder this yonex pattern that seems to be quite similar?! can somebody maybe tell me how to start and the other things i have to know? (i also don't understand this t8 to h7 ) thanks
