Stringing my Racket to the Maximum?! I noticed that my racket when it was strungs into the maximum tension of 24lbs, it's look like kinda a little curved. compare before?

can someone tell me if it is good stringing my racket into its maximum tension?

    thanks and regards,

    Generally there are two "maximums":
    • Manufacturer's maximum recommend tension. Go above this, and you void your warranty (boo hoo, I voided my warranty :D).
    • The real maximum. Go above this, and you break your racket.
Most high-end rackets can handle 30 lbs+. Some pros string as high as 35 lbs.

Increasing the tension always increases the chance of string or racket breakage. 21 lbs is less likely to break than 22 lbs.

Stringing at high tensions also increases the chance of player breakage: you hurt your shoulder, for example. Be sure to increase your tension in increments of no more than 2 lbs at a time (start at about 22 - 23 lbs), or you can end up hurting yourself.

Yeah...when u upgrade ur tension to 28 or 30lbs...ur like as if ur playing with a wood piece...imagine holding a wood piece hitting the shuttle?? Hows the feeling?? UNless u got the power, den its a different story...;)
    just some personal experience...

i tried 28 n 30.The hits sounds terrific.True...it's like hitting shuttles with a wood piece..but it feels good when u got the power.Smashing with it doesnt seem to be too much trouble for me..but it'll feel better if the head is heavier n the shaft of my racket got more flex during hits.

To find the maximum, string until the head deforms or break.

Then do 1 or 2 lbs below that.

    Wait...

I did try to string an old Cab 8 SP and ended up deforming the aluminium frame.

Then, I decided that binge eating is more satisfying.

What's a recommended tension for Yonex Muscle Power 21 and Yonex Carbonex 7000? I'm gonna re-string soon.

Or do I just ask them to re-string and trust them to know the right tension?

Around 18lbs to 22lbs for 3U models, well that's Yonex' reccomended stringing tension under the warranty.

3U is the weight of the rackets...every rackets has their U's...
    3u=weight of racket before string...
