Has anyone tried using Head's new badminton racket "Metallix Series"? I would like to know in particular about Metalix 10000 model.

    Thanks,
    Niteesh

There are no reviews so far, only some comments from one person (twobeer). But why do people always answer like "do a search"? Isn´t this forum for asking questions?

I have seen the specs and racket at sports shop. I was hoping to get some user inputs after using it for a while.

Last week I saw a Metallix 5000 in a shop. They sell it for 55 Euro. That´s like a low budget Metallix compared to 149 Euro for Metallix 10000. Here´s a pic:

I did a serch for Head Metallix 10000 and got no results. Hence I posted the question as a new thread. I do not have a lot of time to open each threads one by one and review the details.

Don't worry about it, there is alot of people on these message boards who have no other life then message boards, as you can see, the person who always makes a comment about doing a search first, has many many posts, often in the thousands, hence the fact that this is their only life. They feel special when they show some sort of authoritative persona, it makes them feel like they are a leader of some sorts, when in fact they are really just a douche bag with no life.

Bringing up a topic again can be a great idea, someone who didn't see the original discussion may see it this time, and lend a thought or point of view that wasn't included last time. Just like me, and today.....I received my Metallix 10 000 yesterday in the mail, now I can't give a very good review since last night I played with my wrong arm due to an injury but the balance seems nice, it has a good head weight, but as for power and feel I have no clue.

racquetbroker.com has the metallix 10000 on for 129 USD fast shipping, great price

Hi bbirnie, i like the part about the douche bag.

Maybe you have any yonex racquets to compare? I would like to know how it feels compared to armortech 700, for example.

Anyone strung a Head Metallix racket before? I thought the string pattern on my friend's Metallix 8000 looked weird.

Well I can't compare to an armotech 700 sorry........ however, Ive played with a nanospeed 9000, the head metallix 2000, and yonnex muscle power 700 (it think).......however I can't compare any to the metallix 10000 since I was playing with my left hand last night. I should be back in the game late next week if you still want my opinion, fire me a PM next week and I will let you know.

    hey, new douche bag.....
what are you trying to say?
you want to be the new leader of what sort?
life? what kind of life you have?
if you are lazy, just said so, that you are lazy to read and search.

Here is a short review with permission of bbirnie

You can post it for me, as I am too lazy to find the thread. I'm 50/50 on the 10000, it has awesome control for returning smashes, it always seems to just get over the net and go in the right spot without even thinking about it. Hitting drop shots, and net shots are great. Where it lacks are smashes...... i found to have zero power, it feels like the strings are dead just like another gentleman posted. The racket has a really good balance, and weight to it, however the grip is too small, put a wrap on it and your game actually improves. Thats about it..... I would give it an 8 out 10

I happen to look for a review for Head Metallix 10000, what gives? no review since 15/12/2007?
Anyone care to write a review for the benefit of all BC folks? :)

    P.S.
    HEAD Metallix 10000 USD 129
    HEAD shuttle cocks USD 20
The comment by Stork & Drifit on bbirnie "douche bag" jab priceless:D.

this must be either a local available item, or an OLD design, or a fake, since the item was not even mentioned in Head's website.

well, Head's website is not the telling much about their racket's history anyway.

there is a thread in stringing technique talking about this. it's definitely different from the typical ones, but you can adapt a Yonex NS one to this.
