What kind of a necklace???

What kind of a necklace does gao ling,zhao tingting and some of the chinese ladies players are wearing?looks like red someting....any idea???

i haven't seen them, but it might be red string. it's a culture thing for Chinese taoists(i think). i'll have to ask my parents to be sure. i've got a red string necklace with a jade buddha and stuff. i'd wear it all the time, but our school says no jewelery except watches

i guess it's just kinda like a lucky charm.
