It's sad that TH and SDK lost :crying::crying:..but there will be a very interesting Hong KOng Open 2007..

    Here's my prediction!!

    MS:
LD vs LCW: No.1 vs No.2..the chance is 50:50..each of them knows already that they must give their BEST to win..none slight edge, but I'll go for LCW, I don't like CHN players to dominate this SS..I want LCW to take avengeance of my president's lost in QF :mad:

    WD:
Zhang Yawen/Wei Yili vs Du Jing/Yu Yang:
who cares who's gonna win this match? Me neither..but for sake of my PAW, I'll go for Du Jing/Yu Yang

    WS:
Xie Xing Fang vs Zhu Lin:
World No.1 vs World Champ, both of them already secured their position..I expect interesting final match between them with Zhu Lin prevail, again..for sake of my PAW :D:D:D:D

    XD:
    Zheng Bo/Gao Ling vs Nova/Lilyana
, again! expect interesting match between world no.1 vs world champ, slight edge for Zheng Bo/Gao Ling though..

    MD:
    Tony/Candra vs Kido/Setiawan
, the legend vs world champ..slight edge for Kido and Hendra if they're in their top form in the final plus! motivation to defend their title!:p:D:D

    How About you guys?? :cool::D

LD vs LCW:I will give the advantage to LD, only because of the "superb way" he won his semis, and with LCW carrying an injury. Yet I am proud to see LCW still managing 3 consecutive Super Series finals appearance in spite of it ..... and he might still pull the rug off under LD's feet.

    WD:
Zhang Yawen/Wei Yili vs Du Jing/Yu Yang:
Like TH_4_President says, who cares, except perhaps the CHN chief coach. I like DJ/YY to win, their style is closest to MD play, needs pace to be in control.

    WS:
    Xie Xing Fang
vs Zhu Lin: World No.1 lets a sigh of relief, now that Jun is out, she won't be pressured to win and fail like last week. Which is just why she will win this one.

    XD:
Zheng Bo/Gao Ling vs Nova/Lilyana, ZB/GL have dropped back a bit, but I sense that Nova is not as steady as last week. Still, if there's one pair who can beat the CHN, it's Nova/Lilyana, with pressure applied to Zheng Bo. Could see LYB in the coaches chair here.

    MD:
    Tony/Candra
vs Kido/Setiawan, Difficult to say who's gonna win this one, last time they met, the grand old men were thrashed quite significantly. But with added belief, Kido/Setiawan may just find the going tough, unless the match drags on to 3 games.

LD vs LCW: Lindan definately has the advantage over LCW. Someone saw LYB praise ChenJin later in the evening. Hmm i wonder what is it about. I would go against the odds. Win for LCW.

    WD:
Zhang Yawen/Wei Yili vs Du Jing/Yu Yang: DJing/Yuyang has been impressive so far by their gameplay. All aggresive... But never underestimate ZhanGYawen/WYili.. i will go all out to support ZY/WeiYili to win the match.

    WS:
Xie Xing Fang vs Zhu Lin:ZhuLin is my favourite player among the 2. But she seems has stamina problem thruout the week. I would go for XXF to win in 2 sets

    XD:
Zheng Bo/Gao Ling vs Nova/Lilyana: This one i go for the indonesians, they have been playing superbly over the week.

    MD:
Tony/Candra vs Kido/Setiawan: TONYG and CANDRA can and will win it. They have been very impressive playing against TAN/Koo as well as against their INA counterpart during the Semis. Kido/Setiawan may be good, but i dont think they enough Fire to win compare to the Oldies. See if they can prove to Tony/Candra that they are the worthy current World Champs.

    Malaysia BOLEH...!!!
    MS:
    LD vs LCW: 51:49.
LD should win with the help of his teammates; eg: faking injuries, W/O, etc (shame on U, LYB). LCW is fatigued and LD is out to retain his No.1 for the SS Finals.

    Msia boleh...!!!

    WD:
Zhang Yawen/Wei Yili vs Du Jing/Yu Yang: N/A

    WS:
Xie Xing Fangvs Zhu Lin: Pls ask the "scumbag". Who needs more points for OG08 will win.

    XD:
Zheng Bo/Gao Ling vs Nova/Lilyana: 49:51. INA should escape with a narrow win. Good luck INA team.

    MD:
Tony/Candra vs Kido/Setiawan: 51:49 This will be a classic clash of two titans. "Veteran vs World Champ". Based on the current form, the junior pair should prevail but do NOT discard the experience from the "veteran". Lets hope the best pair win.

Chinese team has lack of sportmanship. Always force their players to withdraw and prepare for the next game against non-chinese player (especially in the semi or final)

Once again, Kido/Hendra are under-estimated  I would love to see Kido/Hendra lifting back-to-back Super Series titles in Hong Kong tomorrow just to silence the critics

They totally destroyed Fu/Cai yesterday and instead, ppl still think that they are not good enough, don't have enough firepower and are STILL NOT WORTHY of the World Champions tag

Some quotes from the Chinese forum on Kido/Hendra's performance vs Fu/Cai:
"抢网完全下风。。。。。没法打阿。。" -- the INA pair was more superior in netplay...no match!

"另外感觉马哼的防守比以前稳固啦.." -- additionally, the INA pair's defense is much better than before.

    "马亨组合真的强了很多,没得说" -- Kido/Hendra HAVE REALLY IMPROVED A LOT....nothing else to say!

"今天风云被全面遏制,几乎没有机会打自己的东西。两人也没什么情绪,一直被压着。反应慢,没跑起来,不连贯,时常漏球。是状态,还是技术,还是……? " -- today, Feng-Yun were totally being restricted in their game play and have absolutely no chance to play their own game. They also have not much emotion, always being under pressure, with slow response and made many errors. Is it their form, skill, or....?

"明天对kido他们还是有点含糊,kido他们是比较能咬的主,喜怒不外露,有点成熟的味道了。" -- Tony/Candra's match against Kido/Hendra is slightly hard to predict, with Kido/Hendra being able to kill the bird (compared to Luluk/Alvent) and don't easily show their emotion (this is my own comment: especially Hendra!!)...and Kido/Hendra have increasingly become more and more matured!

    MEN'S SINGLES
Lin Dan vs Lee Chong Wei (MATCH OF THE DAY) -- arguably the match of the day for tomorrow. 1st seed vs 2nd seed and both will play their best! LCW beat Lin Dan the last time they played in the Japan Open Semi-Final and I really hope he can beat Lin Dan again. However, I still think Lin Dan has a slight edge over the Malaysian.

    MEN'S DOUBLES
Tony Gunawan/Candra Wijaya vs Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan -- its a battle of pride between the veteran pair and the World Champion. Except for that little matter of beating Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong, to me, Kido/Hendra have improved this year, which culminated in the sweet victory over Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun yesterday afternoon. I would very much love it if Kido/Hendra were to beat the veteran pair yet again! The key is to play it calmly and Hendra's leadership will be crucial tomorrow!

    WOMEN'S SINGLES AND DOUBLES
    who cares anyway

    MIXED DOUBLES
    Zheng Bo/Gao Ling
vs Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir -- Zheng/Gao still have the edge over Nova/Butet, but, if Zheng Bo is unstable, the INA pair can take home the title!
