I'm a 16 year old highschooler. I have been a member of our highschool badminton team for the past two years, and am trying out again this year for the Varsity Team. Our school has been the home of state champions for two years in a row, but lost out last year and took home a third in state. So the pressure is on ;)

I went to China to visit family and for vacation this past summer and during that time trained with a private coach for about 1-1 1/2 months. The coach I trained with used to be a member of the 中国青年队, which is not as high as the national team. He started training around 8 and told me that as a kid he played with people like Lin Dan. He retired due to back injury, then became an aid for the national team before privately coaching. For a good 2-3 weeks it was footwork 24/7 and major repair on all my shots. My swing was COMPLETELY off. I'm still not sure how much I really improved but it was a pretty awesome experience. :)

After training with him everyday (except wednesdays) for 1-2 hours a day in ~90 degree weather... badminton really grew on me and I absolutely love it! I'm constantly trying to improve and am glad that I found a place where people love this sport as much as I do.

Truely fanatic. :D I don't think I can last for more than 10 minutes under 90'F.

Don't worry about the timing. Once you attempt to learn new things, the "mixture" tend to screw up your regular form a bit. However, keep up with the correct form, will benefit you from a long run. ;)

Now, I am not sure if I can help you any more...
Also, since you are still in high school, no underage drinking for you. If the package from Sam's Wine is a bottle of good wine, please donate to me and I will consider helping you finding good deal on Yonex items in the future...

    Haha.
After talking with my parents they said it was probably one of their colleagues sending a belated Christmas gift. Go figure.
