    Hi all,

today Ben Lee gave me an exclusive preview of BBC. Ben told me a lot and i will write up a preview article. but i want to share this photo with you all first. i have never been to such a huge badminton gym in my life it was overwhelming. 16 badminton courts, the photo speaks for itself.

Good lord. Its like an unbelievable illusion, I mean 16 courts all in a row... I wish this place was opened up closer to San Jose =/

Look like a Tennis clay court. The ceiling seems abit low.

I wanted to allow Kwun to share photos with BCers even though the club is still a work in progress. For this reason, I originally did not want Kwun to take any photos. So many people have been "waiting" to see BBC. The lines and courts that you see in the photo are still in their raw stage. The company still has to come back and finish the detail work. Perhaps Kwun's hi-tech panoramic photo lens makes the ceiling look lower than it actually is. Please be patient folks, BBC is almost done.

    Looks very good..

..the court color is interesting and yeah the courts do remind me a bit of the tennis clay courts..I assume this will be the first full-time badminton facililty in California or the U.S., for that fact, which uses a red-colored badminton court??...:cool:
And will there be some kind of a colored background drops/nettings/screens in between/at back of each courts??..
*Thanks Ben and kwun for allowing and sharing the pic for us..:)

apology for confusion caused by the photo. firstly it is a panorama stitched together from a few photos so the lines turned out a bit not straight. secondly work is still being done so don't read too much into the texture of the floor.

what you should see is that the color is different and the scale of it is massive!

It is definitely very big. Quite impressive! What is the spacing between the courts? It is hard to tell from the picture. And can someone from BBC comment on the height of the gym? Would you be able to host national tournaments?

    Off topic-Yes.

Wooden floor, 2 layers of MDF with many little rubber materials(~3"x3") underneath for cushions. Didn't use hardwood on the top layer due to cost.

    Bay Badminton Grand Opening

    Hello All,

We just met with the Fire inspector today. They are now requiring more work for us to do. This new work will take us about three days to complete. Unfortunately, we will not be able to open by Saturday the 15th. The rest of our construction is done and we are ready to go. It's only the Fire requirements that are left.

This has been an uphill battle for us to get this club open but we are fighting strong and hanging in there. Please be a little more patient and we will be open very soon. I keep wanting to open and new things keep coming up to prevent it. Hang in there as we are.
