    Hello everyone!
In my Japanese class I'm doing a project on Badminton in Japan. If you have any useful information please don't hesitate to send it my way! If you have a URL to a site that would be even better!

I've already covered Hanetsuki (for those of you who don't know what that is, it was a New Year's game in Japan, just without a net, for Nobles and Women), so you don't have to send me anything regarding that.

Thanks in advance everyone! Any help is greatly appreciated!

This appears to be a challenging assignment. It is undoubtedly helpful to be able to read Japanese somewhat fluently to find much information on badminton history in Japan. If you can, then try some appropriate searches at: http://www.google.co.jp

Perhaps some Japanese badminton associations may have some history info.

For a listing of some notable Japanese badminton players:

The Japan Open has been around at least since the mid-1980s. It became part of the BWF Super Series tournaments just this year . For more info:

A Japanese company, known as Yoneyama (YY), started manufacturing badminton rackets in 1962. They established themselves as the #1 badminton manufacturer by 1971. Yoneyama changed their name in 1974 to a name that we are all now familiar with. For more history of YY: http://www.yonex.com/company/history.html
