Default Markis Kido - Inspiration to shorter players!

    Hi guys,
I am around 165cm and find markis kido very inspirational, if markis kido can smash like that and play so well, it means we shorter players can play as well too. Sharp and powerful smashes has always been the forte of taller players, but now, Markis Kido is here to tell the world that SHORTER PLAYERS ARE DANGEROUS TOO!

    WAY TO GO KIDO!

short players have an advantage, is that they have low centre of gravity, ie. stable and quick, nimble... hehe... but Kido's jump smash is amazing... boy that man can leap!

But markis kido is really powerful, very rational on court too. His game is very matured.

    Yup.
    MK isn't all jump-smash...
He plays 'stunning' drops and isn't shy when approaching the net. Actually plays deft backhand cross-court net drops as well (if anyone noticed)...
MK/'S' are my fav MD pair, bro...

One of the reasons i love badminton. It's not as genetically biased as other sports. I used to row, where you could train as hard as you possibly could 6 days a week in the gym for a year, make huge progress, and my friend would arrive off the couch and pull a faster time as he's about 5inchs taller than me (he's 6'4). And people who are the same size, the longer legs always pull faster. Its horrible. in badminton, genetics give an advantage, but there are too many other factors for it to be decisive.
i do think kido looks a bit funny sometimes though he's so small and squat.

Lol, bro, i am aware of that. Kido is damn fast at the net, i think he is one of the most feared opponents that u will want to meet.

Hmm... I'd disagree. Slow, short, lanky, irritable white people like me I would say have a bit of a negative predisposition for the game...

Despite Markis Kido's height, he gets good elevation when he jump smashes and poses a threat to the opponents. Note his knees are always heavy strapped. Hope he takes good care of his knees.

By the way anyone still remember Gong Zhichao?
