Just sourcing opinions guys and gals. My Yonex shirts and shorts are from Japan and was wondering if it was okay to iron them using the hot setting on the iron. I tried the medium setting but the result was not satisfactory, still had creases. The reason for asking is would the hot setting ruin the fabric - it has the 'very cool' label on them. Has anyone had any experience to advise. Thanks.
1) Why bother? This is sports wear, not formal wear... 2) Did you read the care instruction? Use warm iron. Any thing else will melt the shirt or short.
Yeap, as per Ants. If you mistakenly iron the polyester apparel with the same temperature the cotton ones, the polyester will harden or melt. Talk about a piece of plastic .
Okay I know it's sports wear and not formal wear but they do look nicer when ironed. Like almost all the top end Yonex clothing, they are polyester with some other stuff mixed in. I think most of you have similar apparel. Anyway, I've been ironing a couple of shirts and they seem fine but was wondering if I'm ruining them. Thanks for the advice.
Boogie Night? Saturday Night Fever? Staying Alive? Err no comprende'....what are you saying!! Has this anything to do with badminton shirts or are you from another planet??
Yup don't iron your shirt. You will sweat eventually during your game and the sweat will take care of the wrinkles in your shirt. Trust me its 100% guaranteed.
If you hang it up on a hanger and let it dry you'll have hardly any wrinkles. You can then add the finishing touches with a warm iron if you want to. You could also try ironing through a slightly damp towel.
