Welcome to CCC at BadmintonCentral !!!

Only found your post after our session was over.

Next time, if our session has not reached the maximum of players (as informed), just book yourself in and turn up. Our 'Booking In List' is for players to reserve a slot, and players can come at any time between 7:30pm and 11:00pm.

Wednesday CCC at MSAC: 09-Nov-2011 (A short report)

* Thanking to all who have removed themselves when they couldn't attend. It made available slots for others to join in.

* We welcomed 1 first-timer;
(1) Robin-L - From Brisbane
Hope that he had enjoyed playing with us.

* Players organised games themselves throughout the whole session and this allowed me to start playing from the very beginning.

* All players were very happy about our new arrangement (To have fewer players to attend; Pay more and have more games to play)

I wish to further reduce our maximum number of players for our Booking In List by removing Court No.5 (where this court is not popular because it is far removed from our base at Court No.10/11).

Please give me another day or 2 before I put out our Booking In List.

I need to calculate our costs=collections equation, since we are saving on court hire costs when doing without Court No.5. Also with fewer players, we can also save on shuttlecock costs (since fewer shuttlecocks are used). In our last session, we only used 2 tubes (compared to 4 tubes when we have 26 players).

Costs
* Court Hire......$142.50 (Court No. 10, 11, 12)
* Shuttlecocks....$54.00
Total................$196.50

Collections
* CCC Members...$80.00 (8 members)
* Visitors..........$120.00 (8 visitors)
Total................$200.00

This is almost as balanced as we can get.

Therefore, we shall limit our maximum number of players to 16 players (and it shall be posted below)

Since that we now have formulated a '16-players-for-2-courts' session, we can structure some ways for having some fun (friendly competitions).

Let's be reminded of these conditions;

(1) At any one time, we shall have 8 players playing, with 8 others resting.
(2) At our CCC session, we wish to have all our players to have played with or against each and every other player.
(3) Some CCC pairs consist of regular partners (wishing to train for outside competition/league games).
(4) Some CCCers are fit enough to play every game throughout the our session without resting.
(5) Some CCCers are not fit enough to play more than 2 games in a row.

I am thinking of some ways of organising ourselves to have some internal friendly competitions (suitable for most CCCers).

If you have some suggestions, please let me know.

How about the partners that are training play as partners always, the other people do some sort of a round robin so that they play with every other player as partner/opponent?

this is a good idea......

especially next week as my friend and I are double partners for corporate games and she is coming along so we can train......
