Moving Lisa-L to Reserved List, due to uncertain work schedule this week.

Hi CCCers,

We shall start our Booking List for Wednesday CCC at MSAC: 25-Jan-2012

Hope to have our 'Booking List' finalised by Tuesday 7:30am.

We would like to have time;
* To organise sufficient court-time for players attending.
* To correct our Booking List when errors are made.

Reminder:
If unable to attend, kindly remove your name ASAP so that others can replace you.

Please use the RESERVE LIST if unsure of attending, and then move up to the MAIN when sure.

Wednesday CCC at MSAC: 25-Jan-2012 (A short report)

* We welcomed 3 first-timers;
(1) Africa-C......From Sunday CCC at MSAC
(2) Gerardo-M...Africa-C's friend
(3) Mohan-M.....From MSAC Court 12 (6-8pm)

Hope that they have enjoyed playing with us.

* Players are happy with our new arrangement; To have 2 courts, 1 for Winners and 1 for Losers (based on players' previous games' results).

* There are still too many players requiring me to choose partners for them.

For players looking for partners, please don't be shy to post in this thread looking for partners. It is much easier for me when I don't need to pair players up. Why? Because I can play from the very start (and not after the time when all players are paired up).

Regarding players looking for partners

Since we are happy with our new arrangement; To have 2 courts, 1 for Winners and 1 for Losers (based on players' previous games' results), the 4 players going on court to play their next game may be allowed to exchange partners.

Why? Our idea to organise games for Winners and Losers is really to schedule the next game for players.

Main point in this message: When the 4 Winners and/or 4 Losers are scheduled to play next, it is OK for players to exchange partners.

But, please don't get to arrange a partnership of Winners and Losers together. Confusion will set in.

Some CCCers must be wondering why I haven't started the Booking List for Wednesday 01-Feb-2012.

We have a problem on Wednesday 01-Feb-2012.

Here is what MSAC told me:

Hi Chris,

I unfortunately have some not so good news.

Central Badminton Association (CBA) have requested Ct 10 from 8pm-10pm from the 1st Feb, ongoing.

Under MSAC's charter we have to give preference to the Associations over any other booking so there's nothing i can do about it, and at this stage i don't even have any other courts i can move you to.

So, on Wednesday 01-Feb-2012, we will only have ONE court; Court No.11.

In the next post, I shall start our Booking List.

2. We have only one court so can we reduce the total players to 8.

Clubs usually like to have 8 players when they play for 2-2.5 hours on 1 court.

I think that when we play for 3.5 hours, it is OK to have 12 players.

Besides, looking at the usual routine of our players, 33% of CCCers leave at or before 10:00pm.

I think that when we play for 3.5 hours, it is OK to have 12 players.

Chris,

I think Nitin has a point there. 8 persons for 1 court is more reasonable. I think 12 persons on 1 court is too many.

Working on the ratio, on a normal night, a 6.5hrs court time has 16 persons.
So when there is only 3.5 hours, we should only have 8.6 persons.

Can we reduce the number of person to 8 for next Wednesday?
