Hi, I am looking for a reliable stringing service in downtown Toronto. If you know a good place by any chance, please let me know. I want to know the price too ( I have my own string.) Thanks!
Don't know any in downtown toronto, but there are a lot in scarborough and markham area. You can also try Max Sports which is near woodbine station.
now i've never been to the sportchek in the eaton center so i wouldnt know if it like other sportchek's buti know for a fact that you should stay away from sportchek, they have a reputation of being horrible stringers and do horrible jobs i wouldnt trust sportchek to string anything, soo try Browns Cycling and Sporting. their good their.http://www.brownssports.com/ their on Bloor street west which is not that far from downtown. i think its the closest place from downtown actually. if you take the subway get out at Jane st and turn left its like right across the intersection.
Isnt there a badminton club downtown? Something like Sing Fai Sports club? Im not 100% sure, but you could try googling around for their site and see if they have stringing. I live uptown, and I heard about this club through a friend.
Ya ive heard that too about sport check but I went and did it anyway a few times. Everything has been fine so far.
We do stringing service near downtown at Danforth/Woodbine, check the website: http://maxsports.ca/string%20service.html
If you play downtown i'm sure someone in your club is a stringer (owns his own personal machine). What are you looking for in terms of stringing (quality etc): 1) a stringer employed in a store -> possibly honour racket or string breakage 2) a local stringer -> usually the best deal in terms of $ spent 3) what type of tension are you planning to string it at (above yonex's recommended amounts?)
One more thing, on average local club stringers usually charge $10 for labour if u provide the strings. That's how much i charge. my machine: Laser Fiber MS200TT with double action fixed clamps. any angle drop weight. - I do not do rush jobs - turnaround is usually a week. - I string for fun (about 150 rackets to date) - Unlike PeteLSD, i take about 1.5 hrs to string a racket - i follow whatever the recommended stringing pattern based on manufacturer: Head (one piece), Babolat, Yonex are the only real unique ones that i can recall that i've strung.
