Sunway College Badminton Open Tournament

Hi every badminton lover!

There will be an open tournament on the 1st two weeks of March, 2008. It is opened to all universities and college students (part time included and no age limit). However, national players are not allowed to play.

There will be five events i.e. men's singles, men's doubles, women's singles, women's doubles, mix doubles.

There are only limited entries i.e. 64 entries per event.

Cash prizes and trophies are to be won.

Anyone interested?

how much is d entry fee? individual event rite?

Nope i'm sunway student. my friend is organizing it so i have 'insider' information. lol.

what additional info you need? u could ask me specific question and i will try my best to answer you. I will also be updating the information regularly.

entry fee is RM15 per person per entry (to date). means RM30 for doubles. but i heard it may be reduced depending the situation.

yes it's individual event. means you are not representing college or uni but must be a student of college or uni. they will require you to present your student id on the first day of tournament (i think).

It is opened to all college and university student. It is an individual event where you could partner other college/uni friends to participate in doubles event. It is not only for Monash as it is an open tournament i.e. opened to all college and uni student (including private and government uni).

The only criteria for any individual person to participate is to be a student in any of the colleges / universities in Malaysia and possess a student id card which is issued by their respective colleges/uni.

Is my explanation clear?

Application form will be ready end of this month. They are trying to make online forms, so maybe i could post the website when it's ready.

Hopefully I'll be in college by then..

Fat chance lah.. results coming out most likely after NS 1st batch over(March 11 I think)..

LOL. icic...hmm...have an idea!

you could enrol in short courses in colleges (such as language course) and get a student id card! LOL.

anyone noes the time of da tournoment? whether its morning, evening or nite...especially on 7th as might have classes going on =)

icic....the draw would only be made after the entries are closed. So would not know what time you will be playing right now. However, maybe you could PM me your time of classes and I would ask my friend to try her best to accomodate you?
