Yep.....from the beginning, teir names are not in the list of Korean Open.....I know for sure, they will play at All England and Swiss Open
Yup, Rexy already said so a couple of days ago. Read the Msian Open news thread. MD seniors- Only Zakry/Fairuz, Hoon/Wee Kiong will go Korea Open
Well, I can only make a guess. Maybe it's because that their now currently no.1 in the world. Therefore, they can pick and choose which tournament they would like to go ( just like Lin Dan). Besides, I don't think Rexy would want to risk them playing so many tournaments before the olympics games since it would only make them tired and might get injured. I guess that's the reason. Maybe they have other reason. I don't know.
To eaglehelang Dear eaglehelang, It agreed with you that we cannot expose KKK & TBH to play in many tournaments because this will give the opportunity to opponents to read their games. With lesser competition for them, it is more assured that opponents could not have a chance to read their games. Not only that, it is to prevent them from sustain any form of injuries in order to make sure that they are fit for Olympics. I believe that they will undergone special training program to achieve the mission of BAM and the people of Malaysia hopes to see the first gold medal in this game.Malaysia Boleh! From: Ayu

I have a blog post on this: Koo and Tan absent from Korea? LJ asked: victor, is rexy's decision of sending koo tan to selected tourneys wise? wouldn't that allow kido setiawan and cai-fu to take over their world no.1 ranking? Doubles head coach Rexy Mainaky has decided not to send top Men's Doubles shuttlers Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong to all selected tournaments. In fact, Rexy has decided not to send Koo and Tan to the Korea Open Super Series event, taking place next week after the Malaysian Open. While many have questioned Rexy's decision, I personally agree with Rexy. Why? Read on an find out! 1. Keeping Koo and Tan well rested A reason for Koo and Tan's lackluster performance in last year's World Championships was fatigue and tiredness setting in. Furthermore, Koo and Tan have shown that they easily succumb to fatigue, when they failed to live up to their number 1 ranking in the last 2 Super Series events, the China Open and Hong Kong Open. Koo admitted that it was because of the fatigue of an extremely busy 2007. Rexy would not want that to happen this year, with the Thomas Cup and the Olympic Games peeking around the corner, and with his career on the line (Rexy said that he would resign if none of his charges won Gold Medals in this year's Olympics), he would want his charges to be properly rested. full article: The Badminton Blog - Koo and Tan absent from Korean Open?
