Seeded based on recent PAW Ranking
We will have 16 seeded when 64 players in Draw.
Hopefully Season 2 (DEN, FRA, CHN, HKG and 1 or 2 SS in 2009) we can create Draw-64. In this season the draw fielded by team's member only, just to cut the number of players who can't play after drawing.

Sandy, I have a suggestion, though it's probably too late... We can create a qualifying round for this season, like in SS, 4 qualifiers in the main draw, but only 8 participants. The qualifying round should be this Toulouse Open. Thus we can have 4 more participants: 3 remaining team members plus, I suggest, kschong (if he does'n mind). But we need a redraw in this case (similar to what BWF do many times).
What do you think?

I used big tournament only in "Knock Down PAW". The PAWers usually played "all out" in big event, and skipped a few low tier tournament.
It was also happened in PAW WTA.
Some players skipped and took holiday in PAW when only Tier III or Tier IV tournament in a week.
We created "Knock Down PAW" in 128 players with 32 seeded in 5 Grand Slams and 2 Mandatory Tier I (Miami & Indian Wells) for one year.
Probably we can create Draw-64 since over 64 PAWers played in last PAW SS. I took "safe" number by create Draw-32, don't want a lot of "bye" or "WO" results in 1st Round.
When their PAW Rank rise higher, they have chance to play in next season.
Like PAW Team's Race, this event is game based on the regular Final LT of PAW.
Take it easy, main target still in regular PAW.
If you play well in regular PAW, you got good result in Team also in "Knock Down"

Sandy, I foresee that some PAWers may not be able to complete the whole course. I appreciate the idea and creativity but I just don't see it will go so smoothly. This so-called "knock out PAW" simply discourages risk takers and new comers.

Agree with you. It won't be able to please everyone. It's more a reward for those who have performed well in the first year of PAW, and should provide incentive for others to qualify for the next edition of this playoff tournament.
As for that dastardly scheming huangkwokhau.......

woah, interesting.
i've just noticed this new knock out competition today.
sounds interesting though .... nice one.
damn, now i have to concentrate on:
1) getting the best score overall to win the tournament
2) getting the best score to qualify for the next knock out tournament
3) beat the player i'm up against in the knock out
4) help my PAW team achieve the highest score

some sleepless nights are coming up next month ...
