Just find new ide to count Team's Ranking Points,

Convertion of sum best-3 position to Team's Ranking Points.

Range of sum #    Percentage of Winner Ranking Pts

note : sum# = sum of best-3 position

1. Dream Team, sum# = 11, Rnk Pts = 201.5 % of 4000 = 8060
2. MAD Hatters, sum# = 12, Rnk Pts = 196 % of 4000 = 7840
3. Wonderful World, sum# = 30, Rnk Pts = 138.75 % of 4000 = 5550
4. Chong Wei Club, sum# = 40, Rnk Pts = 116.875 % of 4000 = 4675


This is formula to get Team's Ranking Points of every tournament.
It's simple way to get Team's standing, just sum of best-3 position of every team.

Sandy, I think this is a good idea! Advantages:
- Don't need conversion for temporary team standing.
- No confusion between team standing for a certain PAW tournament and team ranking points added for a "Team race" competition.
- Conversion is applied only once, the formula is not too complicated - not too much additional work for you, and everyone can check it.

As I've predicted, your final decision will be the best one, and you did!

One of the chen siblings has expressed concerned that he/she cannot participate in every PAW. However, I think 4/5 members for some tournaments have to suffice.

may I suggest to have 6 players in every team, and the top 3 players (top half) points are calculated?

The 5 in a team is to enable more teams to participate and to make it more competitive since only 3 out of 5 best positions count and not 3 out of 6, which gives more leeway.

This rule applies to every team and I'm sure many teams will experience some absentees from time to time. This is just for fun.

..just like the sport itself, this game PAW would have to include a team format competition. Perhaps there will be a Sudirman Cup version of this game??.. ...oh boy, hope i haven't created anymore funny ideas..

hmmm, you mean an all girls team, an all boys team and a mixed team?

or do you mean, a thomas cup style team structure, where you specify who are your MS1, MD1, MS2 and so on. 7 members to each team, so if i'm MS1 for my team and you are MS1 for you team, if my final score beats yours my team gets a point. for MD, if the combined scores of the nominated team members is higher than the opposition, the same applies. that's an interesting idea! we could use the world team ranking format to decide which team scores the most points ....

We go step by step, little ones to bigger ones.

Then we add in some depressions and some inclines.

Then we add in some hurdles, from waist height to ...........
