Lee Chong Wei - fastest recorded smash?

this topic is done..there is no proof of any sort that LCW has the fastest smash in the world..some commentators @ tournaments recently doing the FHF & CY match still say FHF is STILL the FRIGIN fastest smasher in ZEE world~

THE OFFICIAL RECORD is still FU HaiFeng.. but i'm sure there is alot or even some smashes that match Fu's smash record..but pity that it is not recorded.

Didn't one Danish player had a recorded 375 km/hr smash? Was this achieved under tournament condition?

i heard that one too, however from my understanding, the dane didnt do it in a game where fhf did.

yes, that's the weakness of badminton, if we compare it with another racquet sport, especially tennis. in tennis surely we can know the entire statistic facts. hope BWF can do better in this sector.

LCW has the fastest smash is like an April fool's joke...

The last time, I watched the WC 06 QF match between LCW and Bao... LCW's smashes were about 260(at most)km/hr, about the same for Bao... compared to Fu at WC 06 MD final with a 324km/hr.

I don't think the Armortec 900 power can generate another 60+km/hr of power compare to the Nanospeed 9000 that LCW previously used.

singles players doesnt smash as hard as the doubles players in tournament condition. Recovery is important after every smash you make. In doubles your partner can cover for you. In singles.. well that is what they call SIngles.

TH is the man :P i recalled hearing someone in the INA fans crowd screaming "six speed" to TH after he did a 300k smash vs Chen Hong lmao ..amusing.

LCW clocking 300 is unlikely really. if its LD i believe. But LCW, not really, 299 might have, but 300, nopes.

i believe TH hold the fastest smash for single.if there is a speed gun on the court,there will be a record ,other wise ppl can say what they want

In WC 2006, Hafiz Hashim and Lee Hyun Il both hit a 310km/hr smash... just most people don't pay much attention on them.

I think Taufik is the fastest ,he fired 305 Km/hr from the baseline after pedal back from the centre of the court.

While Fu Hai Feng standing in the centre of the court for the half court birdie which is nearer to the net, of course the angle is deeper
compared to the angle of the smash from the baseline.
No doubt that when the angle is deeper, the faster the shuttle will go.

And Fu manage to gain only 2 more km/hr from the centre
of the court where he no need to pedal back to the baseline.
If Taufik at Fu position,I got no doubt that he can fire more faster than Fu Hai feng.
