load spreaders on stringing machines

    I have seen load spreaders being used on stringing machines, specifically on suspension systems with multiple points support. Frankly, I do not think it is a good idea because it is not sound in principle. A suspension system should not be made to behave like a hold-down system, otherwise it will impose strain and stress on the upper tip of the frame.

    is it me, or do load spreaders divide the stress you're talking about? (hence their name)

    Suspension system or hold dwon systems, nobody likes high-noon disease...
