Julia Wong will be the WS equivalent of LCW.
She's going to be better than WMC and it's not because of BWF ranking.WMC wins by grinding her opponents to defeat with her determination but lacks opponent awareness.Eg when her opponent's body language indicates fatigue, she still go for the lines (ending in errors) when some intelligent placement will win the point.WMC must learn to make full use of her intelligence to win.Her movement is dreadful to watch and due for overhaul as it seems to aggravate her injury.
For someone with such a short ,scratchy experience,JW has done very well and shown a lot of promise.Expect her to continue with ups and downs in tournaments. She's either going to crash out early or leave late in tournaments. As she builds up her experience, her confidence will be more assured and it will show when she starts to deliver consistently.Give another 2 years for this gem to shine and then on to steadily dazzle with brilliance.

Sonymak,
Yours statement is correct. But, in BC, there is some BCers that is Bolehians. Refer to what i quote and you will understand....
** Not fair to compare Julia Wong against WYH. Then is fair enough to compare with WMC?? Maybe compare to players that are weaker that JW is acceptable by Limsy.
** Bcos of Japan football team paid a visit to Malaysia long time ago to learn how Malaysia train their footballers, now they are elite team in Asia. No Malaysia, No Japan.....

Knee injury may force shuttler Julia out of world meet
By LIM TEIK HUAT

Julia is back home
SEPANG: Singles shuttler Julia Wong was hoping to contribute to Malaysia’s cause in her debut outing in the Sudirman Cup world mixed team championship in Guangzhou. Instead she returned home prematurely in pain and in a wheelchair.
Julia made a painful exit after coming down with a left knee injury during her match in the Division One Group A tie against Hong Kong on Monday. And she is fearing the worse as the injury could turn out to be more serious than thought.
Painful end: Julia Wong grimacing while receiving treatment for a knee injury during Monday's match against Yip Pui Yin of Hong Kong. The shuttler returned home Tuesday (below) and was whisked to the hospital for medical tests on the extent of the injury.
“The doctor has said that I have torn my ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) and will probably have to go for an operation. This will be the worst injury I have suffered in my career. I don’t know when I can come back to court,” said the world No. 15, who put up a brave front even though her leg was in plaster cast.
Julia recalled that she was trying to retrieve a shot from Yip Pui Yin in the first game when she fell awkwardly.
“I can’t remember whether I knocked my knee hard or it was the impact of the landing. I heard a crack and feared for the worst after that as I could not even walk,” she said.
From the airport, Julia was taken to the Damansara Specialist Hospital in Petaling Jaya yesterday.
If the medical tests show that it is indeed a torn ACL, she will have to kiss goodbye to making her first appearance in the World Championships in Hyderabad. She has qualified together with Wong Mew Choo for the championships scheduled for Aug 10-16.
The National Sports Institute (NSI) director general, Datuk Dr Ramlan Aziz, who was at KLIA to provide moral support, said: “We have to find out whether it is a partial or a total tear of the ligament. But it definitely does not look good. If she has a torn ACL, we are looking at at least six months of complete rest before she can get back on court.”
Poor Julia, most probably she wouldnt be back on court till next year. <sigh> Wish her a speedy recovery.

that is some mighty far out projection u got there, comparing JW to a just out of recovery WMC. You expect JW to do even better after recovering from her injury? Hmm, inform us BF'ers, which singles player that does better after his/her major injury? Lets highlight this fact, WMC had won a title in china soil. Even the mightly #1 LCW can't say that, plus the fact that in WS, it is way harder to take a title from the chinese than any other events. Am not against JW, i just like to bash some bad analysis, as u all come to know me

Professional footballers take 9 months to be on the field in a match after an ACL repair. The various merits of the different ACL repairs have been discussed. I wonder which particular repair will she have.
