Not really a mental class.. she went to to get motivated by the jrs. they read her encouraging and supportive letters and messages composed by themselves.

KUALA LUMPUR: Julia Wong (pic) has quit the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) stable, albeit temporarily. Julia, from Klebang, Malacca, underwent two surgeries on her left knee within a year. At her peak, she ranked second to Wong Mew Choo who has since retired.
Julia, 24, remained on BAM's payroll since her first surgery in 2009.
Even though she did not fully recover, Julia competed in two international championships — the Malaysia Open and the Asian Badminton Championship in India.
However, she had to go under the doctor's knife again after that due to an infection and is now recovering.
“I was wasting time in BAM just recovering instead of preparing and training intensively for championships. On top of it, I was getting lucrative allowances and that was not fair," said Julia.
“It is taxpayers' money which should be spent on more deserving players who have a chance to bring honour to Malaysia."
Julia represented Malaysia in several international events such as the All-England, the Uber Cup and the Sudirman Cup.
She wants to return to full fitness quickly and hopes to be in the reckoning for a national team spot in the future.
“I must do it in my own time and without any pressure. I know I can still play top badminton. But I need to prove myself in the local circuit.”
Julia will now train independently and handle her own expenses. She has already received offers to coach badminton clubs.

Julia having fun on court after quitting national team
ALOR SETAR: The joy on her face says it all. Julia Wong is happy and playing well.
The 25-year-old singles shuttler from Malacca quit the national team back in May but is back now under the KLRC banner.
And Julia is grateful to KLRC for giving her the chance to play again.
“When I resigned, KLRC founder Datuk Andrew Kam called me up and invited me to join his club. I only joined them last week,” said Julia.
“I’m very happy to be given the chance play again. KLRC also allowed me time to recover and recuperate from the right knee injury at my own pace.
“There is also less pressure here compared to the national set-up. Under the national squad, it was very result-oriented and players are constantly under pressure to perform.”
Yesterday, the former national shuttler was up against rising star Yang Li Lian in the first round – the same opponent she faced in the opening round of the KL Open in March. Julia had to dig deep into her reserves before prevailing 22-20, 21-10.
Julia will now face Florah Ng in the quarter-finals.
“I’m very happy to be playing again after being out of action completely since the end of May,” said Julia.
“I stopped training towards the end of April so that I could recover from the injury and I only just resumed training last week.
“I have not set any immediate targets for myself, not even for this tournament, as I just want to do well and try my best to qualify for next year’s London Olympics.”
In the day’s other women’s singles match, Asian Junior quarter-finalist Sonia Cheah was taken to three games by KL’s Stephanie Shalini Sukumaran before prevailing 21-12, 13-21, 21-11.
