I've tried the 'heel-slip' prevension lacing before as instructed by my poediatrist. Quite effective actually, it keeps the top tight and the front loose for comfort and to prevent the heel from slipping. I do this on my badminton shoes too, I find it better than the usual/basic one. I've also tried the 'splay lacing' technique on my usual school shoes, but I didnt notice much difference at all. It just makes my shoe look better
can the heel slip be used together with this one? http://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/secureknot.htm i use this knot for badminton and i never experienced undone laces after that.
I've used the anti-heel slip lacing on my badminton shoes for a while now and it seems to work. I will try the knot as pointed out by azabaz_ipoh and see if that provides any improvement/support
very very interesting. first thing i thought about, however, was: could the shoe be somehow warped or twisted or damaged in different ways because of these lacing patterns? (since they channel the forces in different ways) but this looks very interesting! i want to try a few right now.
I have problems with my foot sliding and then my big toe hits the end of my shoe when I stop quickly. Its caused my big toe nail to blacken and fall off. Its horrible and painful so I'll definitely be trying this. Anyone else experience this problem?
I have similar problems but what you are describing sounds like your shoe may not fit very well/ snugly. Does it?
hey everybody, tried the heel stringing technique... it works..running became more comfortable. yeah...yeah.. yeah
Wow! I'd never considered this before, which is unfortunate - I have high arches, a wide forefoot/narrow heel AND top of foot pain. Which to try, which to try...
The shoes are a good fit, but I'll see if a half size smaller makes a difference. Thanks for the advice.
I've had that same problem and actually cracked my big toenail one time. I now wear these Yonex baddy socks with rubber dots at the bottom, and my feet don't move inside the shoe anymore.
