Well it was another fun Thursday night at GGBC! Today we had our GOOGLE OPEN HOUSE so the place was already ABUZZ with silicon valleys movers & shakers , and then, in walks Mike and Kevin Han! Kevin Han is a 3 time Olympian, and a megawatt USA Badminton Champion! Currently, he is the Manager of Sports partnerships on the United States Olympic committee. He now lives in Colorado with his Wife and 2 children working in the US Olympic Headquarters. Who knew that Kevin called Mike last week and said he was coming into Bay Area so Mike brought him in tonight and they had a bunch of adrenaline pumping games with Jinsong, Dan Gouw, Chris Hales and Kamal! It was an unexpected TREAT for everyone at GG 1 and while playing you can hear the ooo’s & ahhhhhsss of the audience which ended up a gallery after they found out who was there! Kevin said he hadn’t played for 3 years, but he didn’t lose any of his prowess and stride when they played, and afterwards Kevin even said, “after so long not playing, it still feels great to get on that court!” And we certainly all feel the same. Kevin Coming Again tonight Sat, Jan 26, 08, 5PM! Hello BC Fans! If anyone is a Fan of Kevin Han, he will be coming to GGBC tonight at 5:00PM to play with Mike and our GG Friends! Kevin said he would play with Sally, but Sally is kind of shy to play so she might just watch, but she might take up the challenge if she can play against Mike! Is there a confusion among BBC and GGBC? I thought Ben state that Kevin Han will be at BBC at 4pm today.. and how can Kevin be at GGBC at 5pm? That's nearly impossible..
Clearing the Confuision Oh REALLLLLYYYY?? Well.... we'll have to factor in some late time then! He already came on Thursday night so maybe he is just being a super nice guy and going over to visit another club tonight as well? I'm sure he would be interested to visit as many clubs as possible while he's here because he is now on the US Olympic Committee as Manager of Partnerships and a devoted Badminton Advocate of course. He's also having dinner with Mike and some out of town GG executives tonight so he has to come over to GGBC if he wants to eat some Bay Area yummies! So we will see how on time he will be.. But... we did get out the message too late cos Mike's didn't inform his friend was coming until we saw him walk in the door on Thursday night! So our apologies! No confusion... GG Management
Gg Thanks To Kevin! Well... Kevin did speed race into our exhibition Court C at 5:20pm today and played till now it's already 7:43pm. He played against Mike and our GG Member with Sally and it was funny. Then Chris Hales and Dan Gouw came and played against Kevin and Mike! It was awesome ! We at GG want to thank Kevin so much for being so accomodating to have meetings till 3pm, visit other clubs, but find time to come to GGBC as well! Well.. cos of Mike of course too!
