mine: ACL replacement on both knees herniated disc plantar faciitis numerous shoulder and ankle sprains headaches (from getting hit by those birdies) more to come i'm sure.... yours ???
this reminds me of the match i had. I was smoothing out the feather and i got pin poked by a feather on my left middle finger tip. It keep on leaking blood slowly and stained the white shuttles. I made them keep on playing since we are only 5 more points to 21. I learned that blood is slow to clot when my heart is still beating like a rabbit.
What I had before: Shoulder pain Wrist pain Elbow Pain Still Have: Knee pain Newly addition (booth by my double partner): Cut above eyebrow Chipped front tooth
and the dry winter weather makes it even worse; dry skin -> paper cut injury -> blood all over the grip and wong8egg, you don't need a yonex racket to win you use other brand to win a yonex. that's how i got my first yonex. the one that helped me.. it was a dunlop or was it a silver grey i know i know.. i'm an old timer...
Back aches, jumpers knee, hyperextended thumb, rotator cuff injury, shin splits and probably some more I'm forgetting
A shuttle smashed at 3 feet proximity into my left eye. ended up with a blood filled eye for a good 4 months, and some blurry vision, nothing technology couldnt correct back on the courts and totally rocking again. moral of the story, wear GOGGLES!
freaking black eye from partner's racket broken glasses from same racket hit in the balls multiple times with multiple items including but not limited to: birdies rackets (my own, my friends) kicks elbows (falling on me) punches water bottles the good thing is, i can have all the *** i want and don't think i can have kids
been hit in the neck with a racquet by my partner smashing behind me. the worst is still my shoulder's rotator cuff injury, slowly being healed by physiotherapy.
Weak ankle from constant twists in the past (22 twists on the right and 18 on the left) *yes i keep count* Right knee cap from training in the past and high heels (i will never stop wearing heels)
rotator cuff injuries - permanent reduced mobility and strength Impingement of shoulder Torn abdominal muscle Torn soleus in left and right calf Sprained right ankle multiple times now permanent damage. Knees still ok though!!
40 ankles twists??!!?? i thought you would have learnt your lesson and not train in high heels by now!
sleepie_angel is clearly in desperate need of a wobble board for strengthening exercises... My injuries courtesy of the court sport: concussion.. both ankles sprained countless times (even with the wobble board) pulled hamstrings. ruptured achilles!!! sprained upper and lower back muscles.. sprained wrist frozen shoulder, sprains to rotator cuff muscles pulled groin muscles. pulled tricep... hehe - i'm a regular sicknote altho for my sins i usually carry on playing when i'm injured.... or go back too soon
i reckon that's the biggest problem most of us have, the lure of the sport is just too great. if we gave our injuries enough time to heal properly, i'm sure our 'sicknotes' would not be as long, or look as horrendous.
