No wonder Taufik was not even in this year. There is nothing wrong with Lee, he is good player and in much better shape this year.

The people who screwed up this game was not Li Mao, not Lin Dan, but those side umpires. They made so many wrong calls in favor of Korean players during this open, especially in MS final. They screw up the game and tarnished the reputation.
Lin Dan had to call the umpire quite a few times to make corrections. After a few times, he lost his temper. I like Lin Dan, but he still has a way to go before he become the best player in the world. Li Mao took Lin Dan's complaint personally (everybody knows his history with Li YongBo), which is totally unnecessary. But compared to those side umpires, it is nothing.

If you want to blame someone, blame those sideline umpires. They screw up the game and tarnished the reputation of Korea Open and badminton game. May much less worldclass players will show up in Korea open next year.
