    Hello everyone!

I recently registered to this forum and I've found it quite remarkable when you guys talk about techinques and equipment. I've played badminton for 5 years now, but without any coach, so I've probably developed some very bad playing habits. So, I'm 24 now and I live in Finland, and I just joined a badminton club and I hope I'll learn lots of badminton there! :)

I've watched Zhao Jian Hua's and Xiao Jie's videos and of course read a lot about badminton techniques, and on Friday I'm going to test what I've learned :).

I'm totally crazy about badminton now, and I hope you're too, since it's a great sports!

Thank you very much folks! I've been enjoying my stay here a lot and even found help for my ankle sprain. Well, it's not that bad anymore, and tomorrow I'll buy a wobble board to strengthen my ankles.

I'm not sure how popular badminton is in Finland, but you can see badminton courts almost in every sports hall here.

Haha, i'm not sure. They've probably tried it and who knows, if badminton was the reason for their success :D

Well, almost all my friends have at least tried badminton and it's relatively easy to start playing badminton here in Finland. In Esport-Center (a good sports hall in Espoo) there are school groups playing badminton every morning. So, I guess it's quite popular nowadays.

You did? Cool, yep, we have badminton fans and a lot of badminton clubs here, but i don't know many Finns who have been successful on international badminton courts. :/

Yes, I play hockey but not that much. Usually I play badminton, swim or run. We have been pretty good at ice hockey but we have won gold in the ice hockey WCs only once.
